MY GREAT HIMALAYA TRAIL X RANDY SUN

2021-10-16

In the morning the sun is shining and it's hot. Therefore, climbing 1.1 kilometers upwards proved to be a daunting task. Especially if you consider that we made most of this ascent along the "short road" with half-meter steps. Only in the evening did the clouds begin to gather and it became a little easier. But we stopped for the night still very early - at 15:00 - since the next 4 hours of the journey did not imply a normal parking space.

We spent the night at an altitude of 2500 meters. Let's see how the temperature will change at night compared to spending the night at an altitude of 1300 meters.

The road is not very interesting today. Normal hillside road and normal trails through the Nepalese forest. Since there has been no rain for several days, there are no leeches either.

The local residents profess different religions: many Hindus, also many Buddhists and even Christians. Along the path you can see small Hindu temples (the statues of cats at one of Shiva's temples seemed especially amusing), many stupas, and even the walls of the mani began to meet again. We are approaching yet another valley, which has been inhabited since ancient times by "aliens" from Tibet. It was to these lands that the Sherpas moved to permanent residence five hundred years ago.
